You and your dog deserve joy.

Having a dog with behavior issues can be tough. You feel frustrated by them while at the same time guilty that you aren’t doing enough. That it’s all your fault.

While caring for another being is a responsibility that we should all take seriously, it doesn’t have to be as hard and complicated as we make it out to be. You don’t have to spend hours each day training and you certainly don’t need to be more strict or harsh with them in order to see results.

I’m here to help you identify the support your dog may be lacking and how you can provide that for them in a way that build trust and enhances your relationship.

I’m here to help you and your dog enjoy your best lives together, as a team.

When you start to understand WHY your dog behaves the way they do, everything changes.

Hi! I’m Julia, CPDT-KA , owner & founder of Blue’s Cues Dog Training.

Helping my dog through her big feelings on the leash forever transformed the way I thought about dog training and behavior.

We expect a lot of our dogs, often unfairly, and I believe that they are doing their best. It’s up to us, their guardians, to provide them with what they need and to give them the skills to successfully navigate our human world.

My training methods will always prioritize a dog’s mental and physical well being, while also taking into consideration any limitations that their humans may have. My goal is to provide dog guardians with humane, effective, and accessible solutions that ensure all members of the household can thrive.

My expertise include teaching basic life skills, navigating barky/lungy behaviors, supporting dogs with stranger danger, advocating for dogs in veterinary settings, caring for foster dogs, and helping transition dogs and puppies into their new homes.

I’m excited that you’re here and can’t wait to support you in better understanding and communicating with your dog!
